The Koi fish is a symbol of strength, perseverance, and transformation, as well as good luck.

In both Japanese and Chinese folklore, the Legend of Koi tells the story of a school of golden koi who swim upstream against a strong current. After many fail to leap over a mighty waterfall known as the Dragon Gate, one persistent koi finally succeeds and is transformed by the gods into a golden dragon.

For the Golden Koi Necklace, an 18 karat gold Koi charm sits with a faceted Rainbow Moonstone set in 18k gold, and a grey rose cut Diamond also set in 18k gold. The Rainbow Moonstone has a luminous pearly white color, that flashes bright blue at certain angles. The charms sit on a beige cord, knotted with tiny 1mm coral pearls. The nylon cord is durable and waterproof, so you never have to take it off. The Rainbow Moonstones are all one of a kind, varying in shape and size, but measuring between 10-12mm long. The grey Diamond is 4mm long.
